Hiya!

I guess I've started making monthly dev updates as some kind of New Year's resolution? Even if I have nothing new to show off, maybe I could still give you guys some concept art, easter eggs, or behind the scenes stuff!

This month, (well, I guess it's February now, huh...) I worked on bug fixes like being able to dash during cutscenes, problems with the lighting engine, stuff like that. I also made some minor changes like how the polaroids appear on screen, adding a little "click!" and randomly rotating the image.

But some bigger changes (which I'm sure you cam here for) are things like mid-battle portraits in-between boss phases, as well as even MORE boss phases! (And a secret phase! And even a new mini-boss! But we'll get to that later.) I hope these make the battles feel better and more interesting, as well as providing more charm :3

The other big changes are the changes I made to the gang in Headspace. Now there's vandalism, and flower-stomping, and bullying, oh my! I guess it's up to Drew and his crew to stop it unfortunately... Might as well get it over with! (Because it's the right thing to do, definitely not because it will grant great rewards and a new miniboss and a new boss phase for the Gang Leader.) But yeah! Before heading to the convention center, you can clean up the gang's mess for some cool stuff, like a plushie, or a secret phase in the Gang Leader fight! I've always liked gangs in RPGS, shoutouts to M&L Brothership for the dope IDLE gang that I adore.

Other than that, progress has been kind of slow, mostly playtesting and having a good time tho! :3 The average playtest takes an hour and a half, so that's a decent amount of time to enjoy the demo when/if it comes out.

The second school semester has started now too, so that might impact the demo's progress a bit...
